Cooch Behar: A man in a quarantine centre in West Bengal's Cooch Behar district was sitting on a hunger strike for the last twenty-four hours with the demand to stay with his wife.
According to the officials of the quarantine centre, the couple, returned from Tripura on May 19, was directed to stay under quarantine as a measure for coronavirus spread.

The duo agreed to get quarantined but the man opposed to staying separately from his wife.
Doubtful about the facility and the safety issue of the quarantine home where his wife resided, he has started the starvation with the demand to stay with her.
"I want to stay with my wife, as the quarantine home where she is staying is not safe at all," said the man.
Meanwhile, no action has been taken on part of the administration to address the man's demand.
