Kolkata: Many leaders have joined the BJP from Trinamool Congress. Some of them succeeded in becoming MPS or MLAs. Some could not succeed. A section of BJP and RSS leadership feel that despite joining the BJP, the souls of these leaders are still with Trinamool. So to influence their brains with the ardent saffron ideology, RSS has decided to conduct special workshops for all such leaders.
Already RSS has prepared a list of such MPs, MLAs and organization leaders who would have to attend these special workshops. Accordingly, the lists have been forwarded to the regional preachers of RSS, who will be mainly conducting the different workshop sessions for these leaders coming from the Trinamool Congress.
Now the question is what would be the curriculum of these workshop sessions. Traditionally, RSS observes only six festivals throughout the year. The newcomers in BJP will be given lessons on the significance of these festivals and rituals to be followed to observe them at the workshops. At the same time, they will also be advised to attend any RSS branch every morning, do some physical exercises and chant the RSS mantras.
Recently, the RSS leadership through the organization's Twitter handle sent a message for observing the day of the coronation of Chatrapati Shivaji. BJP's state president in West Bengal, Dilip Ghosh himself is an RSS preacher. So he also sent a Twitter message on the same issue. But the same practice was not followed by leaders who came to BJP from Trinamool like Suvendu Adhikari, Arjun Singh, Soumitra Khan or Nishith Adhikari. So RSS has decided to conduct the workshops so that such leaders follow these practices in future.

RSS leadership and also a section of BJP leaders feel a major section of the leaders coming from Trinamool are yet to adapt themselves to the basic ideology of the Sangh. It is learnt that such leaders who have joined BJP from Trinamool are reluctant to follow such practices which are followed by BJP's old-timers. The RSS followers have to follow certain rituals and since those coming from Trinamool are not much aware of such rituals.
RSS leader and the former editor of RSS's mouthpiece, Swastika, Rantideb Sengupta said that ideologically RSS and Trinamool Congress are on two opposite poles. "So the leaders who have joined BJP from Trinamool are taking time to associate themselves with the traditional RSS culture. But slowly they will have to get them acclimatized with and get inspired by the culture of RSS. We are a part of Hindu nationalism and the newcomers will have to adopt that ideology from their souls," Sengupta said.
