Midnapore: Post-poll violence and tension refuses to die down in West Bengal. Recently, the Trinamool has issued a fatwa in the Keshpur assembly constituency not to provide any necessary food items to the opposition party workers and supporters, not even to offer them tea. And that has spread political tension in the area.
The posters appeared in the name of "Mahisda Sarva Bharatiya Trinamool Congress" with booth numbers 176 and 179 printed on them.
In the fatwa, there is a list of 18 people who are known as supporters of the opposition party. The fatwa clearly directs, that no villagers are allowed to let the enlisted people have tea and not to allow them to sit at any store.
Tanmoy Ghosh, BJP leader from Keshpur says, "These are not new. TMC has started all these from the very day of the assembly poll result. They are vandalizing houses of BJP workers, looting them and now they have issued this fatwa."

"This is nothing new. Our party people across the state are facing various atrocities," BJP spokesperson Samik Bhattacharya said.
Claiming that BJP supporters have been rendered homeless at several places due to attack after results of the West Bengal assembly elections were declared, Bhattacharya said that even the Calcutta High Court has taken cognizance of post-poll violence in the state.
However, Ghatal MP and actor Deepak Adhikari (Dev) has come out against this fatwa. He said the party had nothing to do with those who issued the fatwa.
