Jalpaiguri: Four Rohingyas including three women were nabbed by police personnel of the Jalpaiguri Road Railway Station on Sunday.
The incident took place when the Rohingyas were reportedly loitering around the Jalpaiguri Road Station. Out of suspicion, Railway Police Force took the refugees under custody.
According to a preliminary investigation, it has been found that all four were the resident of Yangon (formerly known as Rangoon) in Myanmar, and they were travelling from Agartala-Tripura to Delhi on Kanchenjunga Express.
One was found with the certificate issued by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
RPF Inspector Sunil Kumar said that the four arrested were identified as Mohammad Rafique, Anwara Begum, Dildar Begum, and Jasmine Ara.
