Cooch Behar: As the assembly polls approach, the Trinamool Congress and the BJP are pitting themselves against each other. Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee attacked the BJP on multiple issues at a meeting in Jalpaiguri on Tuesday. She once again slammed the BJP after the party meeting in Coochbehar on Wednesday. She said that BJP is indulging in politics of violence and discrimination. She also attacked her party's annoyed leaders and workers without naming them.
Targeting the defectors leaders of her party Mamata said, "those who were in Trinamool from the beginning, they stay here. Those who stay from the first day, they stay until the last day. People cannot change their character every day. Clothes can be changed. But ideology cannot be."
Mamata claimed that the Trinamool government has kept all its promises. She said," the Panchanan Barma's Museum has been created. We have built 1100 houses under Rajbangshi Awas Yojana. Kamatapuri, Rajbangshi Language Academy has been created. But the central government does not keep its word. Meanwhile, the BJP has started slander and propaganda."
