CBI vs Kolkata Police: Gorkha Janmukti Morcha takes out rally in support of Mamata Banerjee

Darjeeling (West Bengal): Gorkha Janmukti Morcha took out rally in support of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Darjeeling on Monday.

People in large numbers supported Gorkha Janmukti Morcha rally.

CM Mamata Banerjee is on a sit-in protest against CBI in Kolkata.

The stand-off between the state and investigation agency began after a CBI team reached the home of Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar on Sunday evening to question him in connection with chit fund scams.

The CBI wants to quiz Kumar, who led a Special Investigation Team of West Bengal police probing the scams, regarding the missing documents and files.

Banerjee called the CBI action a “coup” by the Centre and began her sit-in protest at 9 pm on Sunday.
