Jalpaiguri: At least 32 migrants injured after the bus on which they were travelling in their desperation to reach home during the coronavirus lockdown, overturned in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri.
The bus overturned in Dhupguri block of Jalpaiguri district on Sunday morning. According to the sources, the bus driver is absconding.
All the migrant labourers, who worked in a brick factory in Sahudangi, were going to Cooch Behar district in West Bengal.
The individuals who have sustained injuries include three children and four women. All injured were taken to Jalpaiguri district hospital and released after preliminary treatment.
Dhupguri Police timely reached the spot and initiated the rescue operation.
