Kolkata: The Special Task Force (STF) of Kolkata Police had seized mobile phones and laptops from detained Jamaat-Ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) operatives on September 7 and several details including the identity of a martyred Jawan were found from their possession, during the course of the investigation.
According to reports, the active JMB operatives from Bardhaman and North Dinajpur module had details regarding the army officer, who was killed near the border. Besides, the investigators reportedly found information on militants in Kashmir valley.
On September 7, STF detained several active members including Abul Kashem, Abdul Bari, Nizamuddin Khan. Kashem, 22, is a resident of Durmut in Mangalkot, Bardhaman. He was first detained near the Ghaznavi Bridge on the East Canal Road in Kolkata.

Incriminating materials including several leaflets, books on militant activity were recovered from them.
"We have grilled him (Abul Kashem) and got more information about the JMB and other members who are currently working for the terror outfit. A specific case under relevant sections is being registered by the STF," a senior official said.
The Centre in May this year declared Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh, as a banned terrorist organisation.
