New Delhi: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat discussed several ongoing and pending railway projects with Union Minister Piyush Goyal in the national capital today. Addressing the media post their meet, Union railway minister Piyush Goyal said that both the leaders reviewed the ongoing railway projects in the state. They even held discussions on the railway connectivity of all four dhams and on railway preparations for the next year's Kumbh Mela in Haridwar.
Piyush Goyal confirmed that railway has also acquired the land required for the rail line between Rishikesh and Karnaprayag. He claimed that the cabinet has given its nod on the budget required for the project. Goyal even assured that there will be no paucity of funds for Uttarakhand.

Rawat thanked union railway minister for his support. He said that Piyush Goyal has directed all railway officials to make sure that their is no paucity of funds for Uttarakhand.
Chief Minister also claimed that rail minister has given his nod for the beginning of Tejas Express to and from Uttarakhand. Higher rail officials have been asked to find an alternative measure as there is too much congestion on Delhi railway stations.
