Uttarkashi (Uttarakhand): Amid growing tensions on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and multiple units of the Indian Army have increased their presence at the Indo-China Border along the Nelong valley region in Uttarkashi district.
Along with the Army, the Indian Air Force is also constantly monitoring the international border adjoining Uttarakhand so that the activities of the neighbouring country can be monitored.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, an Indian Air Force helicopter also conducted an aerial inspection of the border area in the Nelang Valley. After inspecting the border, the helicopter landed on Harsheel helipad.
According to sources, the military officials also discussed about increasing the vigil along the valley to check the activities in the area.
It is pertinent to mention here that India shares nearly a 125-km-long border with China in the Nelong valley region of Uttarakhand.
