Temple where devotees aren't allowed to see the God!

India is famous for its religious places and the beliefs that are adjoined with it. One of such famous place is the Latu Devta Temple of Chamoli district in Uttarakhand, where the priests blindfold themselves to perform the rituals.

Chamoli: India has many religious places, which are famous for its religious tenets. One of such famous places is the temple of Latu Devta, situated in Vikalkhand village of Deval in Chamoli district of the state.

The gate of this temple opens only for six months. Apart from this, there are many unsolved mysteries lying underneath the temple, tales of which can hear from the devotees coming here to offer prayers.

On the basis of the Hindu calendar, on the eve of Vaisakhi Purnima, the gates of the temple are opened for the devotees. As per the mythology, the entrance of the temple is closed after a few hours of worship.

The highlight of this temple is that the priests blindfold themselves to perform the rituals and the devotees are allowed to worship God from a distance of 50 meters.

People believe, Latu Devta is the beloved brother of Goddess Nanda Rajeshwari and hence, every year a special puja is being performed in his honour.
