Dehradun: Amid slogans of "Pakistan Murdabaad", mortal remains of slain Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) ASI Mohan Lal draped in the Indian flag was brought to Dehradun on Saturday. The Jawan's daughter paid tribute to his brave father along with the Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Trivendra Singh Rawat joining her for the same.

ASI Mohan Lal was killed in the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Thursday. He was a resident of Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand and his family was living in Dehradun. He was deployed for patrolling duty on Jammu-Srinagar highway in 110 battalions of Rampur group center.

People in large numbers along with family members of the slain jawan gathered to pay their last tributes to the jawan. The martyr's last rites will be carried out with military honours in Haridwar today.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Trivandrum Singh Rawat, Police DGP Anil Rautudi, DG Ashok Kumar, local MLA Vinod Chamoli, Congress State President Pritam Singh, paid homage to the martyr after his mortal remains reached his house.

In the deadliest attack on security forces in Kashmir, 40 CRPF personnel were killed when their convoy was targetted by a suicide bomber of Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammad on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
