Ruskin Bond's new book "Koki's Song" released

Ruskin Bond's new book - Koki's Song was recently released amidst hundreds of fans in Mussoorie. The function, organised by Cambridge Book Depot, was presided over by Ruskin Bond, who in turn interacted with his fans and gave autographs.

Mussoorie: Renowned writer Ruskin Bond has come up with yet another book, inspired by nature and life at the foothills of Himalayas. His new book - "Koki's Song", which was released during a programme organised by the Cambridge Book Depot, here recently, is a 'beautiful short story of two children'.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Bond remarked that the book captures the themes of childhood, innocence and nature. "It is a simple story about a girl and boy, discovering friendship and nature in the 'Doon Valley'. Hope children (and adults) enjoy the same and hope it brings more people to Mussoorie," he added.

Further outlining on the storyline of Koki's Song, Bond said that it encompasses friendship between a girl named Koki and a cowherd Sami. "One can experience the pristine nature of the hills along with the blossoming friendship of the two children. Koki's loves the tunes played by Sami on his flute and the entire story is across the backdrop of hills and valleys," he maintained.

When questioned about his stories (books) being adapted for web series, Bond termed it as a good development and wished for the best. Cambridge Book Depot's Sunil Arora further remarked that the book release was attended by hundreds of Ruskin Bond fans, who purchased the books and got them autographed by the acclaimed writer.

"There are very few writers who can write such wonderful books for children. Ruskin Bond is one among them and meeting him in Mussoorie is a dream. Hope he continues with writing more and more mesmerising stories," asserted a fan, who along with several others have been waiting to catch a glimpse of Ruskin Bond.
