Chamoli: The Uttarakhand government has initiated construction in Kedarnath Dham with the help of the Indian Air Force.
Parts of JCB, trucks, tractors have been transported from Gauchar airstrip via Chinook helicopters.
Heavy vehicles including tractors and trucks have been transported today.
IAF airlifts machines for construction at Kedarnath temple
Karnprayag Tehsildar, Sohan Singh Rangad told that over two and a half tons of machine parts have been transported by Chinook helicopters.
Within three days machine parts would be summoned from Gauchar airstrip and later assembled in Kedarnath, he added
He further told that the transportation of machines from Gauchar airstrip to Kedarnath Dam has been carried out from 6 am to 1 pm.
