Uttarakhand: While hundreds of pictures of migrant labourers across the country suffering amid the nationwide lockdwon are doing rounds on social media, a man from Tehri district here has appeared with a pleasant story.
Migrant labourers continue to flock to the district even now, narrating their woes and raising questions over the administrations' mishandling their situation.
Amid this crisis, a local resident has come out with the story of his journey back home.
In the video released by Ram Singh Panwar, he is seen expressing happiness and satisfaction over the management of quarantine centres on his way back home. So far, the video has been shared by thousands of people on the internet.
Panwar used to work at Delhi hotel to earn his living but he lost his job due to the coronavirus crisis.
Due to the lack of money and adequate resources, he started afoot towards his village. After days of walking, he reached Haridwar from where, a policeman rode him to Rishikesh on his bike.
From here, Singh walked to Lesar village, where the village head placed him under quarantine at a primary school building.
Despite having faced lots of difficulties in his journey, he lauded the arrangements and facilities at the quarantine centre. In his video, he provided a detailing of the quarantine centre and posted it on social media.
