Rudraprayag (Uttarakhand): Rains and snowfall are likely to worsen in Kedarnath Dham for the next week. Hence, the district administration has appealed to the passengers to postpone their journey for a week in view of bad weather. The passengers, who postpone the journey, will be given the facility of offline registration. The devotees are asked to come to Chardham Yatra only after checking the weather.
Due to changing weather in Kedarnath, passengers will not be sent from Gaurikund to Kedarnath after 1 pm. Only 8,000 to 10,000 pilgrims are being sent to Kedarnath in a day. The district administration said that the passengers, who registered online, and due to the weather, do not come for the yatra, they will be given the facility of offline registration later.
In Kedarnath Dham, the weather is continuously getting worse. Due to the snowfall here every day. Due to the arrival of more passengers than expected on the day of the opening of the doors, a lot of chaos prevailed. At present, the Dham has hardly accommodation and food arrangements for 5,000 to 7,000 people while many more pilgrims are reaching here.

There are possibilities of bad weather in Kedarnath Dham for the next week. Seeing this, the administration is appealing to the passengers to make changes in their travel plans. A slot system will now be implemented in Kedarnath Dham for the convenience of pilgrims and to reduce the queue. Passengers will be given tokens for darshan. Apart from that the Sonprayag barrier is being closed at 10.30 am and the Gaurikund barrier at 1 pm to control the travel.
