Haridwar: Although uncertainty looms large over Kumbh Mela due to coronavirus pandemic, the Mela administration and the municipal corporation have started beautification works of Haridwar. Haridwar will soon be all decked up to tell the story of the exile of Lord Ram to his accession to the throne via paintings on the bridges, Havelis, ashrams and walls of the Ganga Ghats.
Haridwar Mela administration has entrusted 'Being Bhagirath Sanstha' with the work of paintings to decorate the walls on the routes where devotees will come to take a dip in the holy river Ganga.
Whether one is coming by bus or by rail, as soon as they reach the city, one will get to see the paintings of saints, akhadas and the civilization and culture associated with Lord Ram.
The Municipal Corporation has fixed a sum of ₹ 35 square feet for the team of young painters who are handed over the responsibility of enhancing the Indian culture and civilization of Kumbh Mela on the walls through paintings.
These walls of Haridwar are not only attracting everyone during the day but they also appear very appealing at night.

Haridwar Kumbh Mela Administration and Municipal Corporation Haridwar are aware that the Kumbh Mela is being held in modern time and for that, arrangements for different laser lights and other events are being made at all places.
If you take a stroll in the Kumbh region- from Alaknanda Ghat to Harki Pauri in Haridwar- you will see that within about 2 km radius, the walls of Haridwar depict tales of saints via the magnificent paintings.
The modernization of saints - the way the saints are now increasingly using cars, bicycles or other vehicles among the saints who used to travel on foot is also shown through paintings here.
Along with this, the visiting devotees of the saints of Nirvani Akhara, Niranjani Akhara including Juna Akhara will not only be able to see them face to face but will also be able to take selfies with these mystic artwork made on the Ganga Ghats and the ashrams of Haridwar. Selfie points have also been made for this.
The Kumbh Mela will be held on January 14, 2021, and to complete the beautification process, the team of youth is working day and night to decorate Haridwar.
This year, the devotees will be enthralled by the paintings depicting the legend of Kumbh, the legend of Samudra Manthan, the legends of Harki Paudi by the pictorial depictions on the walls of Haridwar.
