Pithoragarh: A man died and two women were injured of a family due to a cloud burst after heavy rains on Saturday morning in Munsiyari 's Timtiya village in Pithoragarh district.
A residential house was submerged under debris due to cloudburst at around 2.30 am.
Ram Singh (60) died while his wife Dhani Devi (55) and mother Chandra Devi were injured in the incident.
Residents and state disaster response force (SDRF) team reached the spot and conducted rescue operations.
Many houses have come under threat due to cloudburst. As a result, the Thal-Munsiyari motorway was also closed.
The administration has instructed the PWD to open the route. Instructions were also given to send medical teams and food packets as soon as possible to the Tiamtia area.
