Badrinath temple doors opened, no devotees allowed

The Badrinath temple doors have been opened at 4:15 am on Tuesday, amid chants and Vedic rituals. No devotees were allowed to the temple for the ceremony as Covid protocols are in place.

Chamoli (Uttarakhand): The portals of the Badrinath or Badrinarayan Temple which is one of the four Char Dham and Chota Char Dham pilgrimage sites has been opened at 4:15 am (Brahma muhurta).

On the occasion, the Badrinath temple was beautifully decorated with 20 quintal flowers.

"The doors of Lord Vishnu's eighth Baikunth Badrinath Dham was inaugurated today at Brahm Muhurta at 4.15 minutes after rituals and religious rituals. The safety of public health is the priority of the state government. I pray for the health of the people of Lord Badri Vishal," Tirath Singh Rawat, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand tweeted.

The CM added that the Char Dham Yatra is temporarily postponed due to the Corona epidemic and requested all devotees to perform prayers and religious traditions in their homes.
