Dehradun (Uttarakhand) : To develop the marginal villages across the country, the Central Government has started the Vibrant Village Scheme under which 51 villages in three districts have been included in the State so far. All these 51 villages are located on the China-Nepal border. Uttarakhand is considered a very sensitive state from a strategic point of view because it has a border with two countries - China and Nepal.
In Uttarakhand, where China has a 350 km long international border on one side, on the other hand, a about 275 km long part of Uttarakhand is adjacent to the neighbouring country Nepal. This is the reason why the central government is engaged in developing the border villages of Uttarakhand. So that the wheel of development can turn fast in these 51 border villages of the state after they have been included in the Vibrant Village Scheme (VVS).
Nitika Khandelwal, director of Uttarakhand ITDA, has been made the nodal officer of the VVS in Uttarakhand. According to Nitika, the government has prepared its blueprint regarding the VVS and there are many standards to make a village vibrant. First of all the road access to the village. After this mobile connectivity. A detailed action plan is being prepared to keep all these things in mind, how the livelihood of the people will run there.

Nitika Khandelwal said that the officials of all three districts have been instructed to prepare a blueprint for the development of the village. During this, considering the present condition of the village, what possibilities can be there in the future, will be considered. The report of the District Magistrates will be sent to the government, after which a detailed plan will be prepared under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, which will finally be sent to the Center.
ITDA Director Nitika Khandelwal said that not one department but many different departments have an important role in the VVS, so a government-level committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary. In which the officers of all the departments have been placed. Through this committee under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, all the departments have been given the responsibility to put this scheme on the ground by coordinating with each other.
The Vibrant Village Scheme is being aimed at developing the border areas of India alongside the development of villages. After this scheme, the access of the army to the China border will be more, and then the infiltration from China into the border area can also be easily monitored.
