Ghaziabad: A suspect has confessed on video that he saw his companion rape and strangulate a teenager in Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh on August 6, which did not back the police version of events, according to reports.
During the investigation police have denied rape and termed it as a suicide case, reports said.
After the acquittal of the accused under the rape charges, the video has brought a new twist to the case.

In the viral video, the accused himself has stated that he is an eye-witness to the incident where his partner had raped the teenager. He also strangulated her to death by using a wire and later hung the body.
The family members of the victim found her body hanging inside the house and informed the police.
Three people were booked in the FIR on the complaint of the family members under the charges of sexual assault and murder but police in its investigation termed the case as a suicide.
After more than two months of the incident, the viral video has raised questions on the police administration. The police are also accused of hiding the rape case.
Reacting to the viral video, Loni Police officials have clarified that the person confessing will be presented before the Magistrate and a fresh probe will be initiated in the matter.
Meanwhile, Rajkumar Pandey, a former officer from Loni is said to be behind the viral video.
