Ghaziabad: A new viral video has emerged from Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad where a few men were seen brutally thrashing a youth and shooting the incident intending to upload it on social media. The video shows the victim in a white T-shirt being mercilessly beaten by few men with a stick. The victim is said to have sustained a serious eye injury that needed immediate medical attention.
Taking cognizance of the incident, police have registered a case and started an investigation. The condition of the victim is said to have suffered a critical eye injury, leading to the risk of losing vision. According to the preliminary probe, the victim was attacked after being accused of defaulting loan repayment. The assailants also accused the victim of teasing girls.

Police also informed that the accused had also registered a complaint against the victim at Mussoorie police station in connection with the eve-teasing case. "The victim tried to befriend the sister of the accused. He also failed to repay the loan he took from the accused. To teach him a lesson, they thrashed him and uploaded the video on social media. We are probing both the angles," a senior police official said.
