Fatehpur (Uttar Pradesh): The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government ranked the first position for its best performance in the PM Garib Kalyan Rozgar Abhiyan (GKRA). Bagging eight awards announced by the Union Ministry of Water Power, UP proved that hard works of the officials brought this victory to the state.
In this list, Fatehpur ranked third in the state for construction of the Community Toilet Campaign (SSA) under GKRA.

While all the industrial units had come to a standstill due to the sudden lockdown, a big challenge was come in front of the UP government to give employment to the workers returning from other states to their homes in a large number.
In order to enable migrant labourers to get employment at home, poor welfare employment was launched by the central government.
Similarly, the Poor Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan was started in Fatehpur under the leadership of District Magistrate Sanjeev Singh and Chief Development Officer Satyaprakash. Maximum employment was given under the MNREGA scheme.
On the other hand, construction of community toilets in 726 gram-panchayats in the district has been completed so far.
The migrant labourers were given work under PM Garib Kalyan Rojgar Yojana to construct those community toilets for the passerby as well as for locals.
Most of the migrants were employed in UP for constructing the fastest and earliest community toilets, which led the district to achieve the third position in the state.
