Uttar Pradesh: Man who acted as broker for IAS postings arrested

A broker was arrested immediately after the audio of his conversation with a relative of an IAS officer, regarding the posting in exchange for money, went viral. IPS officer Amitabh Thakur has demanded STF to reveal the name of the IAS officer who was involved in the case of forgery.

Lucknow: A sensational case of an IAS officer giving Rs 15 lakh to a broker for getting the desired posting has come to light in Uttar Pradesh.

Piyush Aggarwal was arrested immediately after the audio of his conversation with a relative of the IAS officer, regarding the posting, went viral.

The state government handed over the investigation to the Special Task Force, after which the STF arrested the broker Piyush Aggarwal.

However, the name of the IAS officer has not been revealed yet.

Commenting on the case, IPS officer Amitabh Thakur has demanded STF to reveal the name of the IAS officer who was involved in the case of forgery.

He said, "IAS officer who paid Rs 15 lakh should be suspended. An FIR should also be registered against him."

"Action should also be taken against the Delhi politicians who were contacted for the same purpose. They should be suspended immediately," added Thakur.
