Muzaffarnagar (UP): Three people were injured in a clash between two groups allegedly after a girl was harassed by some men in Purkazi town of the district here, police said.
The incident took place on Tuesday, they said.
The clash turned violent when Imran and Shafik from opposing groups came to blows with lathis and sharp weapons also used, police added.
They registered a case of rioting and attempt to murder while another case was filed in connection with the violence.
In a similar incident, two people were injured in a clash between two groups of the same community after a girl was sexually harassed at Kalyanpur village under Khatauli police station area of the district on Tuesday. PTI
