Agra (Uttar Pradesh): US President Donald Trump might visit the iconic Taj Mahal in Uttar Pradesh's Agra, during his much-awaited trip to India later this month.
The US President is scheduled to arrive in India with his wife Melania on February 24. The couple will likely leave directly for Agra from Ahmedabad on the same day itself.
In view of Trump's likely visit to Agra, officials from the district administration today held a video conference, including ADG Ajay Anand, DM Prabhu Narayan Singh, and SSP Bablu Kumar.
"He (Trump) will be welcomed on his entire route. He is our topmost guest," DM Prabhu Narayan Singh said.
An American advance team will arrive in Agra on February 17 to conduct a security review in view of Trump's likely visit. Officials from the district administration and police will also hold a meeting on February 18 in this regard.
Apart from visiting the Taj Mahal, the first couple is also likely to watch a cultural show on Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal.
Earlier in January, Brazialian President Jair Bolsaro along with his daughters had visited the Taj Mahal during his visit to Agra, calling the UNESCO World Heritage Site a unique monument in the world.
