Ghaziabad: A youth from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh was critically injured and battling for life at a hospital after his pillion rider shot at him on the way.
The injured person has been identified as Sajid of the Loni area. The incident took place at the Tilamod area when the biker was about to drop the pillion rider.
According to sources, Sajid saw a person walking along the road, who asked him for a lift to the nearby area.
However, on the way, the pillion rider asked him to stop, opened fire at Sajid and later fled the spot, sources said.
On being heard Sajid's scream locals rushed him to a government hospital for treatment and doctors said his condition is stated to be critical.
Meanwhile, after registering an FIR regarding the same, police have launched a manhunt to nab the accused person.
