Chitrakoot (Uttar Pradesh): Police here registered an FIR after some miscreants allegedly assaulted a 19-year-old girl and then beat her family members in UP's Chitrakoot district on Saturday.
According to the reports, two men allegedly assaulted the teenager following which she narrated the ordeal to her family members.
The miscreants also forced the teenager to accept a mobile phone and when she refused the offer, they assailed the girl badly.

When the teenager's family approached the miscreant's parents, they started beating the girl and her family members.
When ETV Bharat contacted Area officer, Subodh Gautam, he said that the teenager's family members called the emergency number and asked for help at around 7:30 pm. By the time they reached the spot, a clash had broken out between the family members.
Later, the girl's family members alleged that they were thrashed with sticks and stones in front of security personnel.
Meanwhile, two miscreants have been arrested in the case and further investigations are underway.
