Lucknow: The accused duo, who was subsequently arrested by Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad on Saturday for sending threats to kill Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath 'with a bomb', was produced in court and sent to transit remand till May 27.
The accused persons have been identified as Kamran Amin and Sayed Mohamed Faisal. According to sources, Kamran and Faisal were produced in court and sent to transit remand till May 27. The accused duo's transit remand was given to Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force.
Earlier on Friday, the accused sent a bomb threat to UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath through social media helpline desk at Lucknow Police headquarters, demanding to release of a Mumbai-based man, sources said.
Later, the Uttar Pradesh police alerted Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad after the message was traced to Mumbai. The sender was tracked down and two accused persons were arrested.
On Monday, the accused duo was produced in court and sent to transit remand till May 27, sources added.
