Ayodhya: A special sanctum housing the idols of Lord Ram and his three brothers will be built on the temple site in Ayodhya before the construction of Ram temple there, said Iqbal Ansari, one of the main litigants in the Ayodhya dispute.
The decision was taken in the Ram Temple Trust meeting that was held on February 19. The construction of the temple is said to begin from this sanctum.
Anasari informed: "The sanctum will be built in the form of a bullet-proof cottage and the construction of the Ram temple will begin from this sanctum."
Further talking to ETV Bharat, he said: "God saves us all, he does not need safety from bullets. Still, if the government has thought something, there must be a reason behind it."
He further asserted that "This issue is very sensitive for this country and therefore needs to be carefully handled. For now, we are all waiting for the day when the temple's construction is completed."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 5 had announced in Parliament the setting up of a Ram Temple Trust, Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra trust.
The Centre later announced that the office of the trust will be the residence of the head of the trust, K. Parasaran, the counsel for the Hindu parties who successfully argued the case in favour of Hindus.
