Mahoba: A 20-year-old Dalit girl, who was pregnant after alleged repeated rape by a miscreant, died due to complications during an abortion at a private hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Mahoba. The matter came to the fore after the survivor's heath condition deteriorated and she informed the family about the incident.
The accused has been identified as one Shailendra Vishwakarma, who was allegedly raping the victim at gun-point for the last six months.
According to victim's father, when he visited the accused, he suggested abortion and also gave him death threats. After which, the victim was taken to Hamidia Private Hospital for the abortion, where she breathed her last.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested the accused and sent the victim's corpse for post-mortem. Police have also taken the doctor and the hospital incharge into custody.
