Baghpat: A family from Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh, tortured and ousted by some domineering villagers has been promised all possible help by Sonu Sood.
"I was living in my ancestral home in Kandera village in Baghpat district for many years. Some domineering villagers started torturing us and forced us to leave our home and village. I complained to the local police but there was no action. I wasn't offered any help owing to which I and my family had to walk to Delhi from Uttar Pradesh on foot. I have my mother who is blind and a sister who has been suffering from cancer. My wife is pregnant and I didn't have any work to support my family therefore we were compelled to take such a step in order to save our lives. I requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide us with some help and after we reached Delhi we wanted to stage a protest near Jantar Mantar when police came to our rescue," Sevaram, the man of the ailing family told ETV Bharat.
