Security heightened ahead of Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra's first meeting

Strict security arrangements have been made in and around Ayodhya ahead of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra's first meeting. The trust was built in order to facilitate the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Ayodhya: In view of the first meeting of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra to be held on February 19, security arrangements in and around the area has been heightened.

A security alert has also been issued after the recent arrest of a suspicious person from the temple premises.

Post this incident, DGP Hitesh Chandra Awasthi inspected the area for appropriate security arrangements.

Ever since the Supreme Court gave its verdict on the Ayodhya dispute, number of visitors to Ayodhya has comparatively increased and so has the security around the area.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 5 had announced in Lok Sabha the formation of the trust to construct a Ram temple in Ayodhya as directed by the Supreme Court in its landmark verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case in November last year.
