The preparation to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Ayodhya to participate in the Bhoomi Pujan before the foundation stone laying ceremony for building the Ram Temple here has begun in right earnest. The ground-breaking ceremony of the temple is scheduled to begin from 11 am and is likely to be attended by over 200 high-profile guests.

Ayodhya: All arrangements at the Ram Temple site in Ayodhya for the bhoomi pujan ceremony, which is slated to be held on August 5 have been completed.

The ground-breaking ceremony of the temple is scheduled to begin from 11 am and is likely to be attended by over 200 high-profile guests.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to create history by laying the foundation stone of Ram Temple in a time frame of '32 seconds'. Senior BJP and RSS leaders, who were associated with the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, are expected to witness the grand ceremony.

'Deepotsav' to mark temple construction

Last time, Ayodhya registered its name in the Guinness Book of World Records after 6 lakh earthen lamps lit up the Sarayu river bank on the eve of Diwali. Now, the temple town Ayodhya is all set to recreate the moment, as a grand deepotsav has been planned to mark the day.

Temple Trust has sent the list of guest to PMO

Shree Ramjanmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has sent the final list of guests to the PMO, however, the trust has not disclosed the names of invitees.

Consensus on the names of 200 people

The temple trust had made a list of 268 guests to be invited for the bhoomi pujan but a consensus has been reached to invite around 200 people. They will be made to sit in a block of 50 people. One block will be reserved for the country’s top sadhus, saints and mahants, while another block will be for the top leaders who were associated with the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple movement. A block will also be earmarked for industrialists, senior bureaucrats and other distinguished guests. The chief ministers of some states are also likely to partake in the event.

Ceremony will be telecasted live on Doordarshan

In view of the corona pandemic, a limited gathering will witness the auspicious event, but the temple trust has made all the arrangements to telecast it live on Doordarshan, so that none misses the historical moment. Big screens will be placed in several important paces in the city for the live telecast of the event.

Silver brick to be laid in 32 seconds

Astrologers have fixed the Bhoomipujan time from 12:15:15 pm to 12:15:32 pm on August 5. The PM will be required to place the silver brick in the foundation in a time period of ‘32 seconds’ which is considered to be auspicious as per the astronomical calculations.

Other rituals will be completed before PM Modi's arrival

The Prime Minister is expected to reach at 11.30 am and the other religious rituals will be completed before his arrival. After the ceremony, PM Modi is likely to visit and offer prayer at the ancient Hanuman Temple, which is located in the vicinity of Shri Ram Temple premises. From there, he will directly leave for the airport.

Helipad at the Saket College

Buildings on both sides of the roads that the Prime Minister’s convoy will take from the helipad at the Saket College in the city to reach the Ram Janmabhoomi site is being given a fresh coat of yellow paint with plans to depict various characters of the Ramayana on them.

The work to paint the buildings on both sides of the three-km stretch of the road and draw sketches of the Ramayana characters on them has been given to Ayodhya Nagar Nigam said Ayodhya Information Deputy Director Murli Dhar Singh.
