Mother-daughter duo attacked with sharp weapon in Raebareli, one succumbs

A mother-daughter duo was attacked with a sharp weapon in Raebareli, in which the mother succumbed to her injuries. The girl sustained serious injuries and was hospitalised. A case has been registered, further investigation is underway.

Raebareli (Uttar Pradesh): Amid the tension raised due to several incidents of rape and murder in Uttar Pradesh, a mother-daughter duo was attacked with a sharp weapon in Raebareli, in which the mother succumbed to her injuries and the daughter was under treatment.

Jamil, a resident of Hajipur village in Nasirabad, was out of the city when his wife Safikun Nisha and daughter Tamanna were living alone.

The incident came into light on Thursday morning after neighbours noticed that both Safikun Nisha and her daughter Tamanna were not opening their door or even responding to any call.

Later, they entered into the house and recovered that the mother-daughter duo were lying in a pool of blood, and injuries of the sharp weapon were on their bodies.

Following that locals informed the police who reached the site with the forensic team to probe the incident.

Surprisingly they noticed some response from the daughter and took her into the hospital for treatment.

However, a case has been registered and police have sent the mother's body for postmortem.
