PM Modi to distribute loans to street vendors on Oct 27

The government wants to make the street vendors and small shopkeepers 'atma nirbhar'. Chief Minister Yogi Atityanath and senior government officials will be present in the programme, to be held virtually.

Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute loans to street vendors under 'Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana' on October 27, sources said.

Loans would be distributed to three lakh street vendors and as many small shopkeepers of the state under the scheme to make them self-reliant, they said.

The government wants to make them 'atma nirbhar'. Chief Minister Yogi Atityanath and senior government officials will be present in the pregame which will be held virtually.

Over three lakh, out of 22 lakh applications that have been received till date, have been approved for the proposed loans, they added.
