Shamli (Uttar Pradesh): A minor girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district, police said.
Meanwhile, the accused is absconding after the incident.
According to the police, the father and the brother of the minor girl were out of the home following which the accused lured the girl and took her to a secluded place and raped her.
After the incident, the girl reported the whole incident to her family members. Subsequently, the family filed a complaint at the local police station.
Immediately the police swung into action started searching for the accused.
The police has also registered a case under Section 363 and 376 of the IPC, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), on the basis of the complaint by the father of the girl.

Shamli SP Nityanand Roy said, "we have registered a case against the accused on the basis of the complaint filed by the family of the victim".
Meanwhile, police has formed teams to arrest the accused.
The girl has been sent for medical examination.
Earlier, on October 16, a pregnant woman in Aligarh was allegedly raped by her father-in-law who on the pretext of getting her a labourer's job took her to Assam and sexually assaulted her.
She also alleged that she was threatened and warned of divorce by her husband and mother-in-law when she told them about the incident.
Similarly, on October 6, a deaf girl was raped by her brother's friend in Chauri Chaura town in Uttar Pradesh Gorakhpur.
At the time of the incident, the family members of the victim had gone to work while her mother was had gone to market.
