Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh): Following the tragic demise of eight police personnel in Kanpur encounter, Uttar Pradesh police have launched a massive manhunt to arrest wanted criminal Vikas Dubey and his associates. As many as 25 police teams have been formed which are conducting raids at different locations.
Speaking exclusively with ETV Bharat, IG Kanpur zone Mohit Aggarwal said that a reward of ₹ 50,000 has been announced on the head of Vikas Dubey.
He also stated that the team of 40 police stations are engaged to nab Dubey.

Investigations are underway in many states along the border.
Chaubeypur police station in-charge Vinay Tiwari has been suspended and is being interrogated on suspicion of having contacts with Dubey and leaking the information of the movement of the police team which had gone to arrest Vikas on the intervening night of July 2 and 3.
IG Mohit Aggarwal stated that criminals opened fire on the police team with automatic weapons like professional shooters and they got the benefit of the height as they were watching for the cops from the rooftop.
Meanwhile, IG Aggarwal has asserted that the police department will not let the martyrdom of eight cops go in vain and criminal will get a befitting reply for their actions.
