Man beaten over suspicion of mobile theft in Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur

Jaunpur: A man was beaten brutally by the locals over suspicion of mobile theft in Sarvada village in Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur district on Wednesday.

In a viral video, locals can be seen thrashing the man with slippers and sticks.

Despite he apologized, the man was not spared as the locals tried to take the law in their hands.

According to Jaunpur Superintendent of police Sanjay Kumar, a case has been registered against three people who have been identified, out of which two have been arrested.
