Declare India a Hindu Rashtra, demands Ayodhya saint

Mahant Paramhans Das has written a letter to President Ram Nath Kovind listing seven demands and he also sought permission to end his life if the demands are not met.

Ayodhya: Mahant Paramhans Das who has been demanding India be declared 'a Hindu Rashtra' has written a letter to President Ram Nath Kovind reiterating his demand and also sought permission to end his life if the demands are not met.

When India-Pakistan was divided on the basis of religion, then why was India not declared a Hindu nation, he asks among other demands.

The saint's first demand is that the Population Control Act be brought into the country at the earliest. In the second demand, he said that the Uniform Civil Code Act should be made in India since two constitutions cannot be implemented in one nation.

In the third demand, he said that India should be declared a Hindu nation as the partition happened based on religion and atrocities on Hindu minority in Pakistan is increasing day by day. Therefore, after declaring India as a Hindu nation, the Hindus of Pakistan and Bangladesh should be called to India and the Muslims of India should be sent to Bangladesh and Pakistan.

In the fourth demand, he said that the daughters of the country should be given free education. In the fifth demand, he said that cow dynasty is the heritage of the nation, so at the village level, Go Seva pravdhan should be done.

He also urged that Ramcharitmanas be declared a national book and be included in the courses compulsorily. Raising the issue of youth in the seventh demand, he said that the unemployed youth should be given a job.

He said that if these seven demands cannot be met, the President should give him permission to end his life. He has also sent a registered letter to the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister, UP CM Yogi Adityanath and District Magistrate Ayodhya.

Previously, Paramhans Das Maharaj agitated for 12 days in 2018 for the construction of the temple on Ramjanmabhoomi and demanding an early decision by the Supreme Court on the issue.
