ITBP soldiers search for missing colleague in Hardoi

The missing officer Rakesh Singh was admitted to the hospital along with other jawans Padam Singh, Pramod Singh and Pratap Singh on Saturday after they met with an accident near Gauri intersection of Kotwali Mallawan area on Katra Bilhaur highway.

Hardoi: A contingent of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jawans arrived in Hardoi on Sunday in search of their Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) who went missing from the district hospital.

The ASI Rakesh Singh was admitted to the hospital along with other jawans Padam Singh, Pramod Singh and Pratap Singh on Saturday after they met with an accident near Gauri intersection of Kotwali Mallawan area on Katra Bilhaur highway.

Pratap Singh died of his injuries.

The search for the missing officer is being carried out across the city - at various intersections, railway stations and bus stands.

All of them were returning to join their posts after a vacation and were travelling in the same car with their driver Ajay Tiwari. Near a turning, the vehicle hit a tree due to overspeeding and fell into a ditch.
