Mahoba: A district hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Mahoba has been flooded just after an hour-long rain in the state. An overflowing drain has let water seep into the interiors of the hospital.
As one entered the hospital premises, cars and bikes stood in two-feet deep water and people moved around with much difficulty.
Ironically, the interiors of the hospital too were filled with drain water making operational work difficult.
Imagine yourself getting treated in a hospital filled with ankle-deep drain water. People were seen sitting on stretchers, patient beds in order to escape the unclean water that has seeped into the hospital wards.
Patients' kins expressed disappointment over the district administration's negligence saying immediate measures must be taken when such crisis occurs.
The visuals well describe the condition of the hospital, where patients will have a threat of developing further complications.
Despite the ankle-deep water in the hospital, staff and attendants were still carrying out their daily schedule. Also, the emergency wards were filled with rainwater.
No arrangements have been made to drain water from the space, hospital administration said.
