Hindu man becomes first donor for mosque in Ayodhya

Setting an example of Hindu-Muslim unity, Rohit Srivastava who was associated with the Law Department of Lucknow University donated 21 thousand rupees to the Mosque Construction Trust.

Lucknow: While the Ayodhya Ram temple trust is receiving donations from abroad for the construction of a grand temple, the Indo Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF) on Saturday received its first donation for the construction of a mosque in Ayodhya.

Setting an example of Hindu-Muslim unity, Rohit Srivastava who was associated with the Law Department of Lucknow University donated 21 thousand rupees to the Mosque Construction Trust.

Athar Hussain, Secretary, and Spokesperson of the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation, and Trustee Mohammad Rasheed who was present at the spot expressed happiness and described Rohit's move as the finest example of Ganga Jamuni Tehzeeb.

India known for its unity in diversity once again saw its finest example in the state capital Lucknow.

Under the order of the Supreme Court, many buildings along with the mosque and hospital are to be constructed on five acres of land in Ayodhya. The Sunni Waqf Board has formed a trust called the Indo Islamic Cultural Foundation to construct these buildings.

IICF has opened two bank accounts to raise donations from India and abroad for construction on five acres of land in Ayodhya.
