The lack of proper transportation had reportedly prompted the boy to take up the daunting task of pedalling all the way, on a rickety three-wheeler, to their native village in Bihar's Araria district.

According to sources, the father-son duo had lost their source of income, overnight, and were left to fend for themselves without food or shelter.
