Haven't received info on when Ram Temple construction will start: Trustee

Though earlier reports suggested that the 'Rudra Abhishek' ceremony would mark the beginning of the construction of the Ram Temple, Mahant Dinendra Das, who is a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust, said that he has not yet received any confirmation regarding when the construction would start.

Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh): Refuting reports that the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya would begin with the 'Rudra Abhishek' ceremony on Wednesday morning, Mahant Dinendra Das, a member of the trust, said that he has not yet received any notification regarding the same.

Mahant Dinendra Das of the Nirmohi Akhara, who is a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust, said that he has not yet received any notification from the trust regarding the date on which the construction would officially begin.

He added that when the trust sits down for a meeting to decide a date for the above, all members would be informed.

The Mahant further added that the construction of the Ram Temple was a matter not confined to just Ayodhya, but involved Hindus all across the world.

Meanwhile, earlier today, an elaborate 'Rudra Abhishek' ceremony, followed by an 'aarti' was held at the Kuber Tila temple in Ayodhya.

Led by Mahant Kamal Nayan Das, spokesperson for Mahant Nritya Gopal Das (who is the president of the Shri Ram Janamabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust), about 25 priests participated in the rituals.

The 'Rudra Abhishek', according to the Mahant, was held to appease Lord Shiva and seek his protection from any obstacles that may come in the way of temple construction.
