Ghaziabad: Even as the embers of the Hathras incident continue to smoulder, yet another incident of a rape attempt emerges from Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad.
According to the reports, a class 7 student who was playing in a park adjacent to her house was allegedly called by the accused, Anil, at the terrace. When the minor girl ignored him, the accused forced her to go to the terrace. However, the girl managed to flee and narrated the ordeal to her parents.
While speaking to ETV Bharat, the family members alleged that that the local police took 20 days to register the complaint against three suspects. Also, the victim's mother said police arrested her husband instead of arresting the suspects.

"We have tried hard to lodge an FIR at Shani gate police station. Firstly, they refused to take the complaint and when we asserted for long, they arrested my husband and locked him up for a day", alleged the victim's mother.
When ETV Bharat asked about negligence in registering the case, Ghaziabad Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhishek Verma denied the allegation and said that the report was filed on the very same day.
Meanwhile, two suspects were arrested in the case while one is still absconding.
