Lucknow: Amidst the surge in the number of Coronavirus cases in different parts of the country, the government has imposed night curfew and lockdown at many places. As a result of which, many migrant labourers from different states are returning to their native places.
A video of Special Train Lokmanya Tilak at the Aishbagh junction of Lucknow is going viral. In which passengers are sneaking through the window of the train. Also, the passengers inside the train are overloaded.
Despite the continuous increase in the number of covid cases, no concrete measures are being taken by the Railway Administration and RPF.

According to the PRO of Northern Railway, this train is a special train from Mumbai to Gorakhpur. Expatriates are coming back to their homes from Mumbai due to the possibility of Lockdown. The Covid protocol is being followed completely at the station. No one is given entry without a ticket. Even, in the coach, the passenger's ticket is checked. If such a video is going viral, then the train must have been crowded from Mumbai itself.
The crowd of migrant labourers have started returning to the stations like Kanpur, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, etc. from different states, and the major reason for their return is the fear of lockdown.

A large number of people are coming back from Mumbai in special trains passing through Mumbai to Kanpur Central. Every day people are arriving at Manikpur Junction from the Mumbai Howrah route in Bundelkhand. Similarly, passengers coming from Jhansi in Kanpur at Chitrakoot Dham Karvi Banda Junction are also arriving. On Friday, more than 250 expatriates have reached Gorakhpur and Basti by special train.
India's total active caseload has reached 10,46,631. It now comprises 7.93 per cent of the country's total positive cases. A net incline of 67,023 cases recorded from the total active caseload in the last 24 hours, as per the Union Health Ministry.

The ten states including Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan have shown a rise in daily Covid-19 new cases. 82.82 per cent of the new cases are reported from these 10 states.
