Ghaziabad: A farmer has announced a cash reward on the head of the killer of his wife in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad on Saturday. The farmer has posted a bounty of Rs 20,000 on social media to find the killer of his wife, who was murdered on July 8.
According to the family members, their financial condition is weak but the farmer has decided to find the killers and demanded harsh punishment from the administration.
On July 8, Pavitra was shot dead by Rohit and his associate Abhishek in Sherpur village under Niwari police station limits, police said.
"The accused duo were trying to abduct the sister-in-law of Pavitra from her house in a case of unrequited love. When Pavitra stopped them, they opened fire on her and fled the spot," police added. As per reports, after police failed to trace the accused, the farmer decided to find them on his own by announcing a cash reward.
Family members of the farmer said that he is on a hunger strike and is not talking to anyone.
