Explosion in garbage heap injures 3 children

In a recent incident in Muzaffarnagar's Purbalyan village, three children got severely injured due to an explosion in a garbage heap. According to a preliminary investigation, some powder used for making firecrackers was present in the garbage heap, that led to the explosion.

Muzaffarnagar: Three children were seriously injured in an explosion that occurred near a garbage heap in Purbalyan village here on Wednesday.

The incident took place when the trio was playing near the garbage heap on Tuesday evening, in the village which comes under the jurisdiction of Mansur police station.

Police stated that according to the preliminary investigation, some powder used for making firecrackers, which was present in the garbage heap, led to the explosion.

The officials further said that the injured children were rushed to a nearby hospital.
