Lucknow: DIG Chandra Prakash's wife has allegedly committed suicide, official sources said.
Prakash is a member of the SIT, which was constituted to probe Hathras rape and murder case.
The incident took place at the official residence of the DIG in Golf City police station premises. The woman was taken to Lohia hospital where doctors declared her brought dead, they said, adding that there has been no word from the DIG on the issue.
Meanwhile, the matter is being investigated further, they added.
